Comprehensive Pain Management

What is Chronic Pain?

Chronic pain is a type of persistent pain that lasts for an extended period of time, typically more than three months, or beyond the normal healing time for an injury or illness. Unlike acute pain, which serves as a warning signal for tissue damage or injury, chronic pain may persist even after the initial cause of the pain has healed.

Chronic pain can originate from various sources, such as injuries, surgeries, medical conditions, or unknown causes. It can affect different parts of the body, including muscles, bones, nerves, and organs. Conditions commonly associated with chronic pain include arthritis, fibromyalgia, back pain, neuropathy, migraines, and certain autoimmune diseases.

Comprehensive Pain Management

Comprehensive pain management is intensive and attempts to deal with every aspect of a patient’s life. Our team of healthcare providers addresses needs from all aspects of a patient’s life. We believe that healing requires you to be whole—all aspects of your life need to be united. We are home to a team of healthcare professionals with a wide range of expertise. Our team is well-versed in the creation of comprehensive pain management programs (CPMP.) In a CPMP, medicine is still available to use even though the medical community has shifted towards alternatives.

Patients in CPMP

Patients undergoing a CPMP will be treated with a range of pain management tools. Patients will experience a blend of medication and alternative medical practices based on their specific needs. Patients will also take part in regular exercises to improve their physical form.

Upon completing the program, each patient can choose a subset of tools based on their needs. Our team of specialists at Pain Care Clinics can take you through every step of the process. We will assess and diagnose the cause and nature of your pain. Then, we will design and execute a personalized treatment plan based on your needs. We’ll help you through your rehabilitation, and ensure you are able to continue receiving care once you leave us.

CPMP Specialists will:
  • Assess and diagnose the cause and nature of chronic pain.
  • Design a treatment plan for each patient.
  • Identify patient-specific medical treatment to relieve and possibly eliminate the pain.
  • Identify physical and psychological rehabilitative methods to help restore the patient’s functionality.
  • Communicate with the referring health care providers to ensure that ongoing care is available upon the patient’s discharge from our program.
